Description: The Communicable Disease staff monitors the incidence and reports of infectious diseases and to prevent and control potential outbreaks. Staff responds to all reports of communicable disease in the county. Registered Nurses investigate the reports and arrange for testing and treatment of individuals as necessary.
The Code of Maryland Regulations (“COMAR”)10.06.01 Communicable Diseases specifies diseases which must be reported by health care providers to their local health department.
